Forge Secondary School

Extensive external and landscaping works at an occupied secondary school.

The Forge Secondary School is a PRU school catering for up to 48 learners. Works comprised the construction of new parking provision, security fencing and gates, MUGA and sensory garden including associated drainage and lighting. Works were undertaken during term time and the summer holidays. Due to the needs of the pupils, works were undertaken in section to ensure minimal disruption and dysregulation during key school hours. These were agreed in advance with the Headteacher and client. Clear communication with the school was undertaken ensuring the projects progress and any potential risks were discussed and any necessary adjustments to the work schedule could be made. We implemented noise reduction measures and adjusted work times to accommodate the school’s schedule. All noisy or disruptive works were undertaken outside of the school’s normal working hours or in the school’s holidays.
