SWG Team Conquers 12 Peaks Snowdonia Challenge for Construction Charity
An Incredible Effort by Our Team
The challenge saw our team trek across 12 peaks in the Glyder and Carneddau mountain ranges, starting at Ogwen Cottage and finishing at Aber Falls. The route included the following peaks:
Y Garn – 947m
Glyder Fawr – 1,001m
Castell y Gwynt – 972m
Glyder Fach – 994m
Pen yr Ole Wen – 978m
Carnedd Fach – 960m
Carnedd Dafydd – 1,044m
Carnedd Llewelyn – 1,064m
Foel Grach – 976m
Carnedd Gwenllian – 926m
Foel Fras – 942m
Drum – 770m
Despite battling through wind, rain, and low cloud in the morning, the team persevered and enjoyed clearer skies by the afternoon. The trek took longer than expected, but their determination never wavered—they absolutely smashed it!
A special shoutout goes to John, our IT analyst, who met the team at a 10km checkpoint with well-timed supplies. Apart from that, they were completely self-supported.
Why We Walked for Lighthouse
Many of us at SWG have seen first hand the positive impact that Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity has had on individuals and families in our sector. Their work helps to reduce the stigma around mental health in construction and ensures that workers have somewhere to turn in times of crisis.
We’re incredibly proud to support them, and every donation helps provide a lifeline for those who need it most.
You Can Still Support the Cause
We’re keeping our JustGiving page open to raise even more for this essential charity. If you’d like to support us and the cause:
